Should Christian Teens Date


You think you're in love. You think that she is the right girl for you. You think he is the perfect gentleman. And it's ok to think like that. 

God created man with emotions and your teenage years is the best time to understand those emotions. 

Is it bad to like someone?
 No it isn't. In fact it is normal but the important thing to know is that your emotions could either help you or ruin you

I've heard lots of stories of Christian teenagers falling in love and they end up regretting it. Love is a hard concept to understand and most people misunderstand dating 

What is dating?
According to Wikipedia "Dating is a stage of romantic relationships in humans whereby two people meet socially with the aim of each assessing the other's suitability as a prospective partner in an intimate relationship."
If we are to follow this definition it shows that the reason you ddate is to assess if your "perfect partner" is suitable for an "intimate relationship". The only relationship that the Bible allows people to get intimate is Marriage. 

I think a lot of teens date for the wrong reasons - Sex, peer pressure, to have a feeling of belonging, and even love.

The truth is Love outside of God is not true. Remember GOD IS LOVE!

Don't run into a relationship because you feel entitled to one. Teenagehood is the step to adulthood. Why do you think people expect you to be matured because you've become an adult. It's because teenage years are meant to be spent learning.  Someone will say experience is the best teacher but I tell you that learning from other people's experiences is the best teacher!

When Christian teenagers enter relationships, their focus is diverted from God. Eventually you break up , you get over the breakup, you find a new person, you think you're in love, you break up again, it eventually leads to a cycle - A cycle of pain.

DATING IS NOT A SIN!!
Do not date when you know you cannot commit.
Do not date when you know that you can't be faithful.
Do not date when it is not the right time.

There is a time for everything!!

Should Christian teens date?
I won't tell you if to date or not but I'll advice that whichever one you do, make sure you abstain from fornication. 
In my opinion, It's better to hold on until it's time and you are emotionally mature!
Fornication will take you away from God's will for your life!!
Resist fornication!

    I think dating isn't wrong but still you can't date a girl without committing sin

      It's possible but very very difficult... But most times it might be impossible especially if the girl is very beautiful
